Cranford AC Notes

We had 3 of our young talented athletes travel to Tullamore last weekend to compete in the Glo Health National Championships. These young Athletes did everyone very proud competing against the best in Ireland.

First up was Liam Donnelly in the  boys U/13 Long jump who found himself in good form and was  unlucky not to make the final 8.

Aoife Giles was up next  in the Javelin and keeping up her good form this season, she has proven once again she is one of the best in the country in her events with a great 5th finish throwing over 24 metres.

Kevin Logue had a really gutsy run in the 3,000m keeping intention with the leading pack and fighting to the end with an impressive 7th place finish.

This is the end of a very successful track and field season with a record number of Cranford AC athletes qualifying for the Nationals this year. The club will now take a well deserved rest for a few weeks when we will start back for the cross country season in Cranford on Sunday 21st of August. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the coaches for all their dedication in getting the best out of each of the young athletes and for giving up their time to train the athletes in all types of weather and for the parents who bring their children to train every week.
