Donegal’s Championships under 9,10 &11

Cranford had 15 of our talented young Athletes travel to FV to compete at the Donegal Championships.

Our U9 boys were in good form with Cody  Boyce having a great evening bringing home 4 medals with 2 Gold medals in long Jump and 60m sprint, Bobby Browne took home a silver in the realy race.

Sarah Coyle was our only girl representing Cranford AC, Sarah had a very busy evening taking part in the Turbo Javelin, long Jump, 60m and 300m doing well in all her events. Keep the flag flying.

Our Boys U10 were out in Force, with Faolán Caldwell, Seamus Mc Closkey, Harry Mc Hugh, Charlie Rogers, Oisin Giles, Thiti Fisher,. All boys had  a good evening all doing well in their events. Faolan impressed in his long jump again this week and won a silver medal. Thiti had a great evening with a medal in the Turbo and Relay. Our Relay team of Cody, Bobby,Harry and Thiti won a silver medal. Well done boys.

Our U11 boys were Rory Boyce, Ben Mc Gee, Matthew Giles, Oisin Mc Hugh, Edward Boyce, Roan Ladley.

The boys had a great run in the relay winning a bronze medal the team consists of Matthew, Oisin, Lorcan and Ben Mc Gee.

We had 3 boys in the Final of the 60m, great running by Matthew, Roan and Lorcan.  Roan had a very good throw in the Turbo.

Matthew, Oisin and Ben  also had a great 600m, and were battling for the medals to the end. Keep up the good work boys.

Thanks to all the parents and coaches who helped out on the evening, a special word of thanks to Rosie, Amy, Clodagh and Karen for their help.

Cranford also had 6 Athletes travel to Antrim Forum to compete in the Ulster Secondary Schools representing their school Milford CS with more success, Aoife Giles got Silver in Shot Put and Discus, Amy Cullen took the Bronze in both the Long Jump and 200m, Caolan Mc Fadden and Oisin Kelly both won Gold in their 800m.  They now qualify for the All Ireland Secondary schools held in June. Orla Neely did well  in the Discus and Javelin and Miah Fletcher had a good run in her  800m.
