Three Ulster Titles for Cranford AC Athletes at the NI & Ulster Championships.

Cranford had 5 Athletes travel to Mary Peters Track in Belfast to compete in the Northern Ireland & Ulster Championships. It was a early start and a very changeable day weather wise we had rain hail and sun over the day.
The day got off to a great start with Aoife Giles putting in a great performance in the shot put earning her self a silver medal, Aoife then went on to throw the Discus this is a new event for Aoife this season and showing her strength and determination Aoife claimed the bronze medal, Aoife kept the best to last and went out in the javelin and threw over 27m to get gold and claim the Ulster title for this event. What a day for Aoife. Aoife now goes on to compete in the Nationals in July.
Next up was Nazara Mc Fadden, Nazara had a very good run in the 80m just missing out in a place in the final, Nazara then went on to complete in the long jump with a impressive jump of 4.18 finishing in 8th place of a field of over 20 one to watch.
