Sunday last saw Cranford athletes participate in the Donegal Cross Country Uneven age group in Castlefin. In all, over 30 athletes took to the field in good running conditions in Castlefin.

First out for the club were the U-9 Girls, who were led home by Nazara Mc Fadden in 6th place and Ciara Donnelly in 11th. They were followed home by Caoimhe Browne,Orla Neely,Blathnaid Gallagher,Abbie Mc Ginley and Clodagh Neely.Well done girls. The U-9 boys were led home by Max Roarty in 3rd and Cian Mc Menamin in 5th. This was brilliant running by these young boys, who were well supported by Ben Fox and Ryan Mc Menamin. Some great future prospects in this group.
The U-11 girls were represented by Aoife Giles who finished strongly in this group. The U-11 boys brought home the first team medals of the day, coming in 3rd to pick up team bronze medals. They were led home by Oisín Kelly who had a fantastic race finishing in 3rd position, collecting an individual bronze medal. The other team members were Liam Donnelly 9th,Allan Neely 21st and Johnny Trearty 24th. They were followed home by Oran Mc Memamin,Luke Downey and Killian Browne.

The U-13 girls saw Molly Trearty run a fine race to finish in 3rd place, with Rionach Giles unfortunately picking up an injury. The U-13 boys also claimed team medals for Cranford when they finished in bronze team position. Well done to Ronan Gallagher 10th, Eoghan Moore 11th,Martin Mc Garvey 12th and Dylan Dorrian 20th and well supported by Barry Donnelly.Some great team running in this event boys.

The U-15s saw great steady performances from Eoin Kelly 5th in the boys and Niamh Mc Devitt 15th and Ciarra Murray 19th in the girls.
Our senior runners also had impressive runs with Niamh Kelly finishing 4th in the U-17 girls and Christopher Murray claiming the last medal of the day finishing a fine run in 3rd place in th U-19 boys.
Well done to all athletes who competed and many thankks to our coaches who put in so much hard work. Good luck to all in the upcoming Ulsters.
