Cranford AC had two teams travel to Finn Valley in Stranolar last Sunday to compete in the Donegal Juvenile Relay Championships.

It was a lovely morning and first up were our U13 Girls Clodagh Neely, Teresa Mullen, Nazara MC Fadden and Caoimhe Neely. In what was a very competitive field of athletes, Clodagh ran a good first leg handing over to Teresa who powered down the back straight handing the baton over to Nazara who ran a great bend who then handed over to Caoimhe who had a very good last leg bringing the team home in 4th place, narrowly missing out on a bronze medal.

The boys U12 were up next where Aidan MC Fadden ran the first leg getting off to a great start handing over to Caolan MC Fadden who ran a very good second leg, handing over to Eoin Friel who ran a fine bend and handing over to Caolan Curran who finished off the race with a gold medal and the title of Donegal Champions.

Both teams qualified for the Nationals which will be held in Athlone on the 2nd of July.

Thanks to coaches Eamon Giles and Rose Gavaghan and to all the parents who travelled on the Day.

Good luck to our Athletes who travel to Clones this weekend  to compete in the Ulsters.
