Success for Cranford AC at Ulster Indoor Championships in Magherafelt Last weekend saw our athletes travel to Magherafelt for the Ulster Indoor Track and Field Championships. This was the first indoors for some and with the event being ran over two day some athletes had to make the journey to Magherafelt on both days. We got off to a great start in the boys U/12 long jump with Max Roarty winning a bronze medal with a fine jump of 3m 56 cm followed closely by Cian McMenamim with a jump of 3m 14 cm. Cranford AC perform well at the Juvenile B and Masters Cross Country Championships in Dundalk Sunday last saw a large group of athletes make the early start to travel to Dundalk IT for the Juvenile B, Masters and Inter county relays championships. First up were the U11 girls where the girls all had a great race and were led home by Nazara McFadden closely followed by Eimear Breen, Clodagh Neely, Aoibhinn McGinley, Caoimhe Neely and Orla Neely all running well with the girls coming 5th team overall. Cranford AC Presentation night at the Beach Hotel, Downings on Friday 22nd January 2016 Myles Gallagher was the MC for the Cranford presentation night for 2015 held at the Beach Hotel on Friday. Certificates were awarded to all the athletes by Rose Gavaghan, Geraldine Boyce, Christopher Murray, Gilbert Neely, Terri McFadden, Shauna Giles and Claire Neely. Ian McGarvey made the first presentation of the night to Orla Neely for her dedication and her great attendance at training. Cranford AC make long journey to National Cross Country Championships in Dungarvan Cranford AC travelled to Dungarvan, Co Waterford on Sunday 6th December on what turned out to be ideal running conditions for the National Uneven Age Cross Country Championships after the torrential rain the day before. Nazara McFadden was our only u11 girl in the first race of the day. Nazara had a good solid run and finished well up the field and there's definitely more to come from this young girl. Cranford AC at Nationals in Santry. Cranford AC compete at the Nationals in Santry, Dublin. With many of our athletes representing club, county and provence! On What was a sticky, mucky course with an average of 200 competing in each race! First up were our U/12 Girls, in what was a big field of athletes, over 200 started this race. Our girls all ran well led home by Caitlin O Hara, Sophie Curran, Nazara mc Fadden, Ciara Donnelly,Aoife Giles and Orla Neely. Cranford perform well at the Ulster Cross Country Championships Sunday last saw Cranford athletes compete at the Ulster Uneven Age Cross Country Championships in Finn Valley on what was a very wet and windy day which made for a very muddy course. Ryan McMenamim started off the day in the u9 boys race where he came home in 7th position.
