A great turnout on what was a good day for runners, and spectators on the top of Cranford Park, we saw some great performances from young and old. Cranford AC make long journey to National Cross Country Championships in Dungarvan Cranford AC travelled to Dungarvan, Co Waterford on Sunday 6th December on what turned out to be ideal running conditions for the National Uneven Age Cross Country Championships after the torrential rain the day before. Nazara McFadden was our only u11 girl in the first race of the day. Nazara had a good solid run and finished well up the field and there's definitely more to come from this young girl. Cranford AC at Nationals in Santry. Cranford AC compete at the Nationals in Santry, Dublin. With many of our athletes representing club, county and provence! On What was a sticky, mucky course with an average of 200 competing in each race! First up were our U/12 Girls, in what was a big field of athletes, over 200 started this race. Our girls all ran well led home by Caitlin O Hara, Sophie Curran, Nazara mc Fadden, Ciara Donnelly,Aoife Giles and Orla Neely. Cranford perform well at the Ulster Cross Country Championships Sunday last saw Cranford athletes compete at the Ulster Uneven Age Cross Country Championships in Finn Valley on what was a very wet and windy day which made for a very muddy course. Ryan McMenamim started off the day in the u9 boys race where he came home in 7th position. In the u11 girls race we had a big entry with Nazara McFadden having a great race coming home in 15th place closely followed by Eimear Breen in 20th, Clodagh Neely in 22nd, Aoibhinn McGinley in 34th with Teresa Mullen, Clodagh Neely, Ciara Donnelly, Blaithnaid ... read more..

Ulster Even Age Cross Country championships in Jordonstown 24/10/15 Saturday last saw a large group of Cranford athletes travel to Jordonstown for the even age cross country championships on what was a good flat but very muddy course. First up were the u10 girls where Clodagh Neely had a great race coming home in 11th position closely followed by Eimear Breen in 15th, Aoibhinn McGinley in 25th and Blaithnaid Gallagher in 27th place which earned these girls a Silver team medal which was a great achievement for these young athletes. Good day for Cranford AC at Donegal Uneven Ages Championships in Finn Valley Sunday last saw a large group of Cranford athletes make the short journey to Finn Valley to compete in the Donegal championships on what turned out to be a beautiful day for running. First up was Christopher Murray in the Novice men's race where he had a good strong run finishing well up the field. Our only competitor in the u9 girls race and making her debut for Cranford was Miah Fletcher who had a brilliant race and claimed Cranfords first gold medal of the day.
