Sunday last saw Cranford athletes take part in the Ulster Cross Country Uneven Ages in Gransha, Derry. On a cold, but bright, sunny day Cranford athletes performed very well. Aoife Giles started the day off with a good run in the U-11 girls. THe U-11 boys were well represented by Oisín Kelly, who finished 12th collecting the first medal of the day. He was followed closely home by Liam Donnelly in 18th position,and by Allan Neely, Johnny Trearty, Oran Mc Menamin, Shane Coll and Killian Browne. Well done boys, some great running by all. The U -13 girls were represented by Molly Trearty who had a great run finishing in 19th place and by Rionach Giles who also had a good, strong run. The U-13 boys saw Cranford collect another medal, with Johnny Mc Groddy having a fine race and finishing in 8th position. He was followed home by team-mates Rónán Gallagher, Dylan Dorrian, Eoghan Moore and Barry Donnelly. Well done Johnny and hard luck boys, who were not far off team medals. The U-15 girls saw some good steady performances from Julie Trearty and Ciara Murray and the U-15 boys were well represented by a strong run from Eoin Kelly. The U-17 girls were represented by a fine run from Niamh Kelly and Emer Trearty. The last club representative was the Junior Male Club Captain, Christopher Murray, who as always had a fine performance for the club.
