Sunday last saw a large group of Cranford athletes travel to Cavan to participate in
the Ulster Cross Country uneven ages.The first group out were the U-11 girls,
who had some good performances with Nazara Mc Fadden finishing 22nd, Caitlin
O’Hara 33rd, followed by Annie Mc Groddy, Ciara Donneely, Aoife Giles, Caoimhe
Neely and Orla Neely.
The U 11 boys saw Cranford’s Oisín Kelly take an
impressive lead from the start of the race to claim his Ulster gold medal. Also
very impressive were Max Roarty 6th, Cian Mc Menamin 9th and Liam Donnelly 10th.
They were well supported by Oran Mc Menamin, Johnny Trearty and Conor Neely.
This performance saw the boys get silver team medals in this event. Great
running boys, with Oisín, Max,Cian and Liam all picking up County medals as
well.
The U 13 girls saw a great run from Molly Trearty who was in a pack of
three for most of the race and then finish strongly in second place, claiming
her Ulster silver medal.Hannah Logue also ran well in this race.
The U 13
boys saw Cranford claim another Ulster title with Johnny Mc Groddy crossing the
line in 1st place.He was well supported by Dylan Dorrian in 8th,followed by Eoin
Moore,Owen Logue,Allan Neely,Barry Donnelly and Luke Downey.Another superb race
for Cranford with Johhny and Dylan also receiving County medals.
The U 15
girls were well represented with Rionach Giles,Michelle and Niamh Mc Devitt.

The U 17 boys saw good runs from Kevin Logue 10th and Eoin Kelly and from
the girls Eleanor Trearty and Ciara Murray.
Christopher Murray also had a
good run in the Novice men.
Another good day put for this small club, now
looking forward to the All Irelands.
