Cranford A.C. travelled to Glaslough, Co. Monaghan on Sun 9th March to participate in the annual road race held by Glaslough Harriers. A large number of athletes attended the event and produced some great results. The U-8 girls was won by Clodagh Neely, who claimed the first trophy of the day.

Ryan Mc Memamin claimed the next medal coming 5th in the boys U-10.The U-10 girls ran well with Zara Mc Fadden leading the way home in 8th place, closely followed by Laura Donnelly, Caoimhe Browne, Orla Neely and Danielle Murray. The U-10 boys claimed another trophy with Martin Dugera 1st, Max Roarty 2nd and Cian Mc Menamin 7th.
Lisa Dugera finished 8th in the girls U-12, followed by Marcella Dolan and Aoife Giles.The U-12 boys were well represented with Oisín Kelly finishing 4th, Liam Donnelly 6th, Allan Neely 10th followed by Adam Mc Hugh, Johnny Trearty, Oran Mc Menamin, Shane Coll and Killian Browne. The U-14 girls saw Cranford win another trophy with Molly Trearty coming 1st followed by Rionach Giles, Laura Dugera and Michelle Mc Devitt. The U-14 boys also had a good run with Martin Mc Garvey coming 2nd, Eoin Moore 8th, Eoin Logue 10th followed by Liam Doherty and Barry Donnelly.
In the U-16’s Kevin Logue ran a great race to finish 2nd, with Eleanor Trearty 7th and Julie Trearty 8th in the girls. Grace Trearty finished 2nd in the Junior Ladies 5k followed by Naimh Kelly. It was also great to see Cranford represented by a men’s and a ladies team in this event. The men’s team were led home by Liam Doherty and the ladies led home by Bridie Trearty.  Well done to all who travelled and participated to leave the club finishing in 2nd place overall.
The club would also like to thank Charlie, Mairead and Dara in the Beach hotel for the warm hospitality extended to everyone on the night of the Club Presentations.
