Cranford AC Notes
Nine of Cranford AC athletes travelled to Dundalk last Sunday to compete in the National B's Cross Country championship. On what was a frosty morning, our U11 girls took to the field in the first race where both Cliodhna McBride and Karen Neely got off to a good start on what was one lap of this 1,000m course. Cliodhna came home in a very respectable 32nd place finishing well up the field followed home by her team mate Karen. Well done girls.

Five of Cranford Ac finest received awards from the Donegal county Board in Finn Valley center last Friday night. A great night had by all. Congratulations to Miah Fletcher Caolan Mc Fadden, Oisin Kelly Teresa Mullan and Aoife Giles.

The North West Indoor Games were held in Athlone IT on Saturday and 16 dedicated athletes from Cranford AC made the early start to travel to the event.
Cranford got off to a flying start with Aoife Giles throwing an excellent 10. 60m in the U 16 girls Shot put. This was a new weight of shot for Aoife in a higher level of competition, Aoife demonstrated her experience and came away with a well deserved Gold medal.

Cranford AC at the Donegal inter county relay championship.
On what was a lovely November morning Cranford made the short journey to Stranorlar the home of Finn valley athletic club who were hosting the Donegal senior cross country and inter county relay championship, with over 70 juvenile relay teams this competition is going from strength to strength.

Two Donegal Titles for Cranford AC.
On what was perfect conditions for cross country running, Cranford AC made the journey to Rosses to compete in the Donegal Championship uneven ages.
Our girls U9 started the day off for Cranford with Orla Cunningham having a great run coming home in 9th place closely followed by Anna Giles. Our U9 boys consisted of Jerry Coyle, Ciaran Cooney and Odhran Mc Groddy. Ciaran had a fine race finishing in 9th place followed home by Odhran in 16th place. Unfortunately Jerry had to pull out due to illness. The girls and boys were rewarded with well deserved medals.
